The oldest law school west of the Mississippi — that’s a title only Saint Louis University School of Law can boast. Residing in downtown St. Louis, this Catholic law school is based in a former office building that was transformed into Scott Hall, which scored an A- in the National Jurist’s list of best facilities. Just steps away from courthouses, city hall, government agencies and leading law firms, SLU Law students are surrounded by a vibrant professional community.
The school offers an evening program and several dual-degree programs. In addition, St. Louis has concentrations in several subjects, including entrepreneurship, employment, environment, health, intellectual property, taxation and trial advocacy. It houses centers in employment law, health law and international law, along with the Vincent C. Immel Law Library, one of the largest in the state.
It earned an A- in preLaw magazine’s ranking of the best schools for practical training. It offers 1.95 simulation courses for every student, one of the most in the nation.
Come here and get ready to sing, “Gloria.” The song became the rallying cry for the St. Louis Blues hockey team. And it won its first-ever Stanley Cup this year.
