Graduate Law Practice Areas

Explore graduate law degrees with our comprehensive database of programs in the United States. We offer two ways to search for programs.

By degree type: LLM degrees are for law school graduates. Master of Law Studies (MCL or MSL) are open to, and often designed for, non-attorneys. SJD and Doctorate level degrees are designed for those who want to teach law.

By practice area: Most programs specialize in specific areas of the law, like health law or intellectual property law.
