Despite a promising outlook following the addition of jobs in July, August and September, the legal sector took a step backward in October, shedding 300 jobs nationwide. In addition, last month’s previously reported gain of 2,500 jobs has been scaled down. According to the latest employment report, the U.S. Economy added 151,000 jobs last month, but legal jobs fell behind.
It’s not all bad news, however, because the legal sector has remained relatively stable over the last year. With just over 1.1 million jobs nationwide, the current total number is equal to the number reported at this time last year.
