Thinking outside the box, after the American Bar Association fined Rutgers University School of Law –Camden $25,000 for accepting students who did not take the LSAT. The ABA also required the school to pose a public censure notice on its website.

Under ABA rules, schools must seek a waiver, which Rutgers failed to do. Between 2006 and 2012, 6.7 percent of admitted students had not taken the LSAT.

“We were negligent in failing to seek a variance, regret and apologize for this procedural violation and accept the ABA censure as appropriate,” the statement reads.
