Stetson University College of Law

Stetson University College of Law

All students will be enrolled in four separate one-credit hour courses focusing on International law issues. Classes will meet during the mornings, Monday through Thursday, leaving afternoons and three-day weekends free for social events and travel. The students will visit human rights sites such as Robben Island and the District Six Museum.

Other participating schools include Charleston School of Law, Mercer University, Nova Southeastern and Oklahoma City University.

Stetson University College of Law’s summer study abroad programs provide law students the opportunity to grow professionally and personally through contextual education and cultural exposure. Students choose from four locations and themes.

The Granada, Spain program explores international movements and trends as related to politics and government, ascertaining the role of the law, while The Hague, Netherlands program introduces international courts and tribunals through the lens of the law as it functions within them.

For those interested in human rights, the Cape Town, South Africa program fashions an enhanced understanding of the world of international human rights in the context of South Africa’s evolution from apartheid to democracy.  In Oxford, England, Stetson combines two of its greatest assets of study abroad and advocacy by delivering an intensive, two-week experience that teaches comparative trial advocacy through practice, theory, and contemplation.
