Legal Sector still lags in job growth

While the U.S. economy has seen a steady gain of jobs over the past few months, the legal sector is still lagging. According to the new jobs report, released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the legal sector shed 1,000 jobs in December.

Although the loss of jobs is not promising, the total number of jobs in the legal sector is still up by 1,200 position compared to December 2009. Nationwide, the unemployment rate dropped by .4 percent down to 9.4 percent, with 103,000 jobs added in December.
