What’s the top rated law firm in your part of the country?

Are you gearing up for On Campus Interviewing at your law school?  Trying to go for a BIGLAW job? If so, you might want to check out Vault’s just released 2012 Regional Rankings.
Vault surveyed almost 16,000 law firm associates to compile the results. They asked associates to rank their peer firms in their own region of the country. “Vault’s regional rankings go beyond overall prestige and delve into which firms are on top in their respective regions,” according to Vault.

Atlanta: King & Spaulding
Boston: Ropes & Gray
Chicago: Kirkland & Ellis
Miami: Greenberg Traurig
Mid-Atlantic: Morgan Lewis
Midwest: Jones Day
New York: Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz
Northern California: Morrison & Foerster
Northwest:  Perkins Coie
Southern California: Gibson Dunn
Texas: Baker Botts
Washington, DC: Williams & Connolly

Interestingly, New York’s Wachtell Lipton also ranked #1 in the country in Vault’s 2012 Vault Law 100 Prestige Rankings. “For the ninth straight year, Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz has dominated the rankings as the #1 firm in the country,” according to Vault.
