UChicago No. 1 for BigLaw partners

It was a good week for University of Chicago, after a study showed that 17 percent of the law school’s graduates from 1990 to 2000 made partner at an Am Law 200 law firm, making it the top law school in that category

Lateral Link, a legal recruiting firm, ran the numbers, which University of Virginia second at 14 percent. Harvard University and University of Texas placed third with 13 percent.

The study showed a strong correlation with U.S. News placement and percent of graduates who made partner. Six schools tied for fifth place in the study, including George Washington University. See the article here.
