Penn State Dickinson Law has launched a new Master of Legal Studies program designed for professionals across a wide range of industries who work with lawyers, navigate legal and regulatory issues, or want a deeper understanding of the laws that shape their work.
The 30-credit program is offered primarily online and allows students to tailor their studies through a selection of elective courses. It launches with an Administration, Regulation and Compliance track, with additional concentrations planned as the program grows. Students will complete the program with a Capstone Simulation course that includes three to four days of in-person instruction in Carlisle or University Park.
Amanda DiPolvere, associate dean for enrollment, admissions and graduate and international programs at Penn State Dickinson Law said today’s professionals are increasingly expected to understand the legal and regulatory issues that influence their work.
“An M.L.S. from Penn State Dickinson Law provides the knowledge and perspective to navigate those complexities with confidence, creating value across industries and at every stage of their professional journey,” DiPolvere said.
The curriculum provides a foundation in the U.S. legal system, public policy and the regulatory frameworks that shape institutions, organizations and society. It is intended for professionals and aspiring leaders who want to strengthen their legal knowledge and advance their careers.
The M.L.S. program offers fall, spring and summer start dates. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with an Oct. 1, 2026, deadline for students planning to begin in January 2027.
