Law schools that covet high LSAT scores, after it was revealed that the percent of law school applicants with an LSAT score in the 170 to 174 range dropped the most — by 20.7 percent, according to preliminary data compiled by LSAC. Students with an LSAT score below 140 dropped by only 4.3 percent, the lowest decline. That prompted one commentator to suggest that only the smart people got the memo about law school value.

Knighthood, after France honored Cornell law professor Jon Barcelo with the medal of the French Legion of Honor, the highest honor a non-French citizen can receive. Barcelo started the first study abroad program in France in the early 1990s and a dual degree between Cornell and Sorbonne Law School in Paris.
