Campbell Law School and Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences established a new dual degree program to obtain a Juris Doctor and a Master of Science in Public Health. The four-year program, which will begins this semester, allows students to pursue and obtain the JD at Campbell Law, as well as a MSPH from the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
“The JD/MSPH is a powerful degree that will provide our students with an understanding of the intersections between law, health policy, and public health,” said Campbell Law Interim Dean Keith Faulkner. “Students will study topics including community health, health system reform, and policy research. This program will be a great compliment for those students seeking a traditional legal job in health law and will provide an alternative career path for those seeking careers in the health care policy and non-profit arenas.”
This is Campbell Law’s fifth dual degree program. It offers three with Campbell University and two with North Carolina State University.
It also offers a Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration program with both NC State University’s Jenkins Graduate School at the Poole College of Management and Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, as well as a Juris Doctor/Master of Public Administration with NC State’s School of Public & International Affairs, and a Juris Doctor/Master of Trust & Wealth Management with Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business.
