University of Miami School of Law is offering one full-tuition scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year (current value $55,850) to a graduate of a Ukrainian law school to attend one of the international LL.M. programs at Miami Law.
The school will award the scholarship to a graduate seeking to write on topics related to armed conflict and its aftermath, including the law of war, the use of force, humanitarian law, transitional justice and international criminal law, as well as the effects of war on global commerce, contracts and investments.
The school will automatically consider all applicants holding a law degree from a Ukrainian law school for this new scholarship, with completed applications by May 1, 2022.
In addition, the school will waive the $50 application fee for all applicants who graduated or are on track to graduate from Ukrainian law schools, and who directly apply to one of the international LL.M. programs at Miami Law through the University’s Online Application System.
“We all have to do our part to show our support for Ukraine,” said Caroline M. Bradley, associate dean for International and Graduate Programs. “We believe that our strong international programs and our faculty expertise in international law, international human rights, international finance and trade and international dispute resolution, among other subjects, can really benefit a Ukrainian law graduate looking to contribute scholarly work that can support the heroic efforts of Ukrainian people now and in the future.”
