Elyse Dorsey and Angela Landry both went public in August with interviews with multiple news outlets, alleging that Wright pressured them to have sex. Dorsey was a student and research assistant and first filed a complaint with the school in 2021.

Wright, who is the founding partner of Lodestar Law & Economics, said he was in consensual relationship and they are now looking to degrade his reputation out of scorn. He resigned from the law school in August after teaching for 20 years.

“It is important to tell you that, at the conclusion of an exhaustive investigation into allegations of misconduct, Professor Wright resigned his tenured position on August 8 rather than face a termination proceeding that we were ready to start,” law school dean Ken Randall wrote in an email to students.

In September, George Mason announced policy changes to prohibit any “intimate, sexual, or other type of romantic or amorous encounter or association” between students and faculty, employees or volunteers at the school.
