This summer, Touro Law School awarded over half a million dollars in work study money and fellowships to students, making Touro’s paid summer internships one of the largest programs nationwide.
The grant allows 167 students to be paid for work for public interest organizations and government agencies, ranging from District Attorney’s Offices to the Department of Homeland Security, from Los Angeles to Manhattan.
“Collectively, the positions held by our students this summer truly reflect the mission of Touro Law Center and our commitment to scholarship, professionalism in a real world setting and public service,” said Michele Kaminski, director of Financial Aid at Touro Law. “Most importantly, and on a significantly greater scale, employers and people in need of assistance get to see first hand the drive, passion and dedication of our students.”
