UCLA dean announces departure

Michael Schill, dean of UCLA School of Law, is resigning at the end of the calendar year to become dean of the University of Chicago Law School. In a release, UCLA Chancellor Gene Block thanked Schill for his “exemplary service and extraordinary contributions” during his last five years leading the law school. During his time, the law school established two new research centers, began three new academic programs and increased its racial and ethnic diversity among students.
