USC Gould School of Law launches online master’s in sports law and negotiation

New online and hybrid master's program prepares professionals for careers in sports law, negotiations and athlete representation.

University of Southern California, Gould School of Law has launched a Master of Studies in Law (M.S.L.) in Sports Law and Negotiation to prepare professionals for careers at the intersection of law, business and sports.

Designed for non-lawyer professionals, the program combines legal education with practical training in structuring, negotiating and executing deals involving athletes, teams and media partners.

Offered online or in a hybrid format, the M.S.L. in Sports Law and Negotiation curriculum emphasizes real-world application, with training in contract analysis, negotiation strategy and regulatory frameworks that shape the business of sports.

At the epicenter of the sports world in Los Angeles, USC Gould School of Law connects students with faculty and alumni who are active practitioners, ensuring graduates are prepared to contribute immediately in high-stakes, deal-driven environments, including athlete representation, NIL, intellectual property advisory, team operations and more.
